What the free Touchstone viewer does

Plot RF traces

Switch between S11, S21, S12 and S22 and compare values across frequency.

Compare three files

Overlay a golden unit and two measured units with clear names and colours.

Check a limit

Apply one minimum or maximum dB rule inside a defined frequency band.

How to inspect an S1P or S2P file

1 · Choose files

Drop up to three local S1P or S2P measurements into the viewer.

2 · Select a trace

Choose the S-parameter and frequency-bounded requirement you need to review.

3 · Review results

Inspect the overlay, extrema, worst frequency and pass/fail result, then print a PDF.

Supported Touchstone data

BenchReport reads common Touchstone 1.0-style S1P and S2P files using DB/angle, magnitude/angle, or real/imaginary data. Frequency units can be Hz, kHz, MHz, or GHz. See the complete format and limitation list before relying on a result.

Your measurement contents stay local.

The selected files are parsed in the browser and are not sent to BenchReport or Cloudflare. Anonymous site-level analytics do not contain measurement data.

Need repeatable acceptance reports?

The free viewer is intended for quick inspection. BenchReport Pro adds unlimited measurements and rules, reusable templates, portable projects, company branding and an offline Windows application.

Touchstone viewer questions

Are my S-parameter files uploaded?

No. Parsing, plotting and acceptance calculations run locally in the browser.

Does it support both S1P and S2P?

Yes. S1P files provide S11; S2P files can provide S11, S21, S12 and S22.

Can I compare several measurements?

Yes. BenchReport Free overlays up to three measurements and lets you mark one as the golden reference.

Is BenchReport a replacement for a VNA?

No. It analyses existing Touchstone data and produces documentation; it is not a calibrated instrument or approved test process.
